Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/24/2011

Number: 1

I was surprised to see a monarch butterfly so late in the season, especially with our erratic weather. It was very overcast and around 68 degrees. The monarch was alone and flying lower than the height of a ranch home. Hopefully, it made it down far enough south because it snowed today (10/27), which is highly unusual.
