The chicken wire with small rectangular holes seem to be keeping the squirrels away from digging up our tulip- though the squirrels are enjoying the bird feeders in out Outdoor Science Lab. Little sprouts are growing where we disturbed the soil to plant the bulbs. There are always seeds just waiting to grow. Wonder what they are? Maybe we should dig some up and bring them inside to find out...it is getting very cold here and the little sprouts will probably not survive.
