Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/01/2011

Number: 1

I was stopped at a light around 1 p.m. when a single monarch butterfly fluttered past my car. It seemed to be flying in short, erratic bursts (like it was trying very hard and exerting a lot of energy), rather than gliding or fully extending its wings. Hope it keeps moving okay and is able to catch up with its friends in Mexico!
