Yesterday (10/31/11) I took a walk through the Greensboro Arboretum at around 3:30 for about 45 minutes. It was partly to mostly cloudy, and according to a nearby time-and-temperature sign, it was 55 degrees. Most of the nectar sources, both planted and wild, were gone, but I found a nice male Monarch on a mound of shell pink chrysanthemums. The only other butterfly around was a Sachem on the same mound of flowers.
