After 3 inches of heavy wet snow, 4 days of heavy frost, I was very surprised to see a monarch in the butterfly garden...only a few late asters and some goldenrod that was cut back are in bloom....most of the flowers are dead or on the ground from the snow.
Went to get the net, but it was gone..it was about 50 degrees and sunny. Still could be more the next 5 days with sunshine and near 55 and above.
