Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/30/2011

Number: 1

On Saturday 10-29-11 we got an early snowstorm dumping 15" of snow here. With the leaves still on the tree damage was devistating but on Sunday with all the snow on the ground and only 35 degrees we saw a Monarch fly by. It was quite a site to see this butterfly go by with such a contrast to all the white. I was not fast enough to get a picture. Also on Monday I found a garter snake by my pond moving very slowly through the snow at the edge of my koi pnod he was there the Friday befor but I tried to get him to go down the den with the others but it keeps coming back out.
