On a cool, crisp, sunny morning, nineteen 4th graders planted experimental tulip bulbs on 11/04/11 between 10:30-11:30 am. We planted our bulbs in new tulip boxes with new soil so our soil is very fertile. Our air temperature was 11.6 C, while our soil temperature was 5.2 C. We each watered our tulip with 2 cups of water after planting. We planted two control tulip bulbs in our bed also. We anxiously await Spring! We will be checking our Tulip Project weekly on Tulip Thursday. :)
