24 degrees and sunny today. Ground frozen but I was able to insert a long-handled bulb planter and planted 24 tulip bulbs which arrived 11/29/11, about a month after ordering.
Planted at Junior Master Gardener plot, the outdoor classroom site of the Alaska Botanical Garden.
Saw 2 mature bald eagles, lots of animal tacks in the snow, whic began to fall 11/20/11. Site is adjacent to raven's nest and we had 4 birds hatch this Summer.
