SQUEAL!!!!! Honestly had not been thinking I would be encountering any more monarchs in my area this month. However, during this first week of November have now seen two, both at National Zoo (reported the other one last week). With this latest, I was checking out the very productive butterfly bush in the "Zoo in Your Backyard" habitat, when I saw this beautiful female monarch sail overhead and alight on one of the lingering flower clusters. Fortunately, I was able to get some nice photographs, the best of which is here. Tomorrow is supposed to be glorious weather as well, so maybe I'll find another:-)
