On Monday while on recess duty around 11:30am, with temps around 54 F, I spotted a monarch flying over the playground. At the same time I saw it,a bunch of the kids yelled "Monarch", and off it went. Couldn't get close to it as it flew probably 20 or so feet over our heads and off towards the woods at the end of the playground. Amazing that we had a blizzard here a week ago that dumped 2 feet of snow on us and a week later we have a Monarch passing through. Can't recall if I've ever seen a Monarch after a snowstorm.
