The day we planted our bulbs started out at 45 degrees and warmed to a sunny 68 in the afternoon. The ground was 40 degrees. Not ideal weather for planting bulbs but the previous week had brought a major snow storm to our area and we wanted to plant before the ground was covered with snow again.
