Have been seeing a Monarch butterfly here and there around the East Side of Ventura. Saw one outside the house today too, just fluttering.

However, I do still have one crystalist on the flax plant starting to turn dark, but doubt it will emerge soon since we are expecting rain Friday and Saturday.

Took a peek at my milkweed plants since I notice they are getting stripped of leaves. . . yep LOTS of good lookin' caterpillars. I counted about 30. Some fat guys about ready to move on, some medium and just a few small guys. Still have enough leaves to hopefully feed them all . . .
