Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/10/2011

Number: 1

Found a newly hatched Monarch in our school garden today with deformed wings. Fed her sugar water then put her on the flowers of the Mexican flame vine to sun during our 4th and 5th grade nature club meeting. One of the students volunteered to take her home and continue to feed her. This happened 2 years ago and the butterfly lived a month in my house on sugar water, Gatorade and mashed ripe bananas.
