Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 11/10/2011

Number: 1

I thought my Ruby Throated migrated earlier in October. I am now relatively convinced that my current hummingbird is a Rufous female. It has been here since before the October 29 snow (14 inches) and shows no inclination to leave. I'm not sure how long it can survive in Northwestern NJ. I set out a fuchsia fulgens pot each day in addition to putting out a warm feeder each morning. Attached is a photo with two views taken this week.
