last week was the first time the night temperatures were in the 30s and since then, everything has changed. The deciduous trees are starting to change colors. The farmers have harvested all the cotton, pecans, tomatoes, corn and are now planting winter cover crops or plowing and getting the soil ready to rest for a while. Nothing is very green now and there are many more days of clouds and coolness. I actually like autumn very much. I love the big skies and the browns and colors of turning leaves.
