Found male monarch in middle of road on top of dam. It was unable to fly, shivering and wings were wet and pliable from cool 50 degree rain. Picked him up; dried and warmed him in the car; fed him sugar solution, which restored his energy and stiffened his wings so he could fly. He flew off later when the weather warmed from my Mayfield, NY home and he headed south.
