Three male Anna's today, who staked out feeders and territories which, strangely for this season, they have done every winter for the last several years: One outside my office window, one in a camellia shrub outside the living room window, and one under a fall-color-clad Japanese maple on the east side of the house. The females visited the other six feeders, but also tried to drink from the ones guarded by the males.
[I was on the road for part of the week, traveling a couple of hundred miles south but saw no hummingbirds until I got back home.]
