We are first graders. We were careful to plant our tulips with the points up and seven inches deep. The weather was sunny. It was about 55 degrees. We added bonemeal because our soil is mainly clay and rocks. They are planted near last year's tulips. We wonder which group of tulips will come up first, this year's new tulips or last year's old tulips. We also planted crocus two inches deep according to their directions. We think the big tulips will come up first because they are bigger.
