This week we planted approximately 95 tulip bulbs from out 4 classrooms of 4th graders. We are lucky to have an outdoor classroom in which we have 4 raised tulip beds (one for each class). We added some experimental plantings to our tulips. We turned some of the experimental bulbs sideways and upside down to see if this would make a difference.
Our temperatures in Missouri have been very warm so our plantings have been postponed until November instead of the usual planting time of October. We are located in central Missouri and the home of the Missouri State Fair and Scott Joplin. We are one of 5 elementary schools in our town. We would love to hear from any classrooms about their Journey North science experiments.
