Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 11/17/2011

Number: 1

At 2:45 pm I observed a large bald eagle sitting at the top of a 20 metre tall pine tree tree on a cliff overlooking a half frozen lake (Glenmore Reservoir). Below that, where the ice ended and the water began, were several hundred water fowl (mostly geese, presumably one of which was about to become lunch). Simultaneously, three magpies were diving from above and behind the eagle, making false charges at the his head in an effort to drive him away.
