Mr. Armstead's 4th grade and Ms. Clark's 3rd grade planted our tulips in the Harriet Tubman School Flowers of Freedom Garden. We weighed our bulbs before planting them to predict which would bloom first.
It was really hard to dig down 7 inches. We learned to drive our trowels deep into the soil with a good, hard push.
We wished our bulbs well for the winter saying, "See you next Spring!"
