a chrysalis turned black overnight, went to look at it again, turned my back to stake some tomato plants and then looked again and it was splitting. I watched the butterfly emerge right there. It was a beautiful sight as the female came out. It's been hanging for over an hour drying it's wings. First time I've seen this live. The second chrysalis is changing color and hopefully tomorrow it will become a butterfly. Got plenty of milkweed in bloom for them to go to. Hope they have good lives in South Fl.
