Still seeing lots of healthy, active monarch butterflies and caterpillars since my last report. Ive been seeing usualy 2-5 monarch butterflies at a time throughout the day in my yard. Lots of caterpillars too. Many finding a place to make a cocoon.Eating lots of leaves on my 30 plus butterfly weed plants which are healthy and mostly blooming. I have over a hundred butterfly weed seedlings in my backyard about 2 -5 inches tall.I stopped mowing the backyard about a month ago to give the 100 plus butterfly weed seedlings a chance to grow.I went on a 30 minute walk several blocks from my house today and saw 4 different monarchs on my walk. 2 were nectaring on bottle brush flowers in someones yard.
