Tulips PLANTED

Date: 11/15/2011

Number: 1

We had a great day planting our tulips. We planted the tulips November 15, 2011. The tulips we planted were Red Emperor tulips. We are in 6th grade and that is the only grade that can plant them. The weather was cold and dry. We planted 58 tulips in all and they were in rows. We put sticks with our names in the middle of our two tulips. We used an auger drill to dig the hole for the bulb. The hole was 7 inches deep. If the hole wasn’t deep enough we had to use a hand bulb planter to dig it deeper. The tulips took about 15 minutes in all to dig and plant. The tulips had to be planted with the point facing up.
