Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/25/2011

Number: 1

As we were walking to breakfast on Friday morning, we observed a female monarch nectaring on some invasive Japanese honeysuckle in my neighbor's yard. It was strange to see the monarch so late in the season! It was even stranger to see the honeysuckle blooming again since it normally blooms in June. Temperature was in the high 50s with very light, variable winds.
