Signs of Fall

Date: 12/01/2011

Number: 1

Here in Western Pa the trees have been bare for almost a couple of weeks. Leaf clean-up now is from the leaves that blow in on windy days. Our November was one of the warmest (10th) on record. The average Temp. for the month, 46.9F, was 4F degrees higher than the avg. of 42.9F degrees. Only had a trace of snow for November and the avg is 2.0 inches. Precip was slightly up at 3.75in for the month. I still saw some Earthworms on two different days during rain events once on nov. 23rd then again a few days ago. Deer hunting started here a few days ago and you can hear the gun blast in the hills. I better go flip my bird bath cause last night it went down to 21F. (only in twenties a few times this fall so far).
