Tulips PLANTED
Sightings report image

Date: 10/13/2011

Number: 1

Third grade students have dissected tulip bulbs and have decided that they are "alive." They noticed that they seem like onions because they can be peeled apart in layers! On Oct. 13, Mrs. Mead, Mrs. Snelling and I, Ms. Muller, lead students to the school's tulip garden (chosen last year by students who examined the best growing conditions near school) and planted bulbs. Various, different predictions for first bloom were suggested ranging from April to next October!
