One male Broad-tailed hummingbird 8:30 a.m. taking a bath in the fish pond water fountain.
We had same species stay after Ruby-throat migration was over in fall of 2011. One Broad tail stayed last year from November thru Feb. 2011. He's late it seems.
Another friend that writes the garden blog for Houston Chronicle is seeing hummers also at this date.
