I checked the roosting monarch butterfly that was in my juniper tree today, that i mentioned in my last report, and it was dead. It was sunny today and in the 70s today and I saw several monarchs in my yard today and saw 2 chasing each other. i also saw a monarch about 50 blocks from my house today.On sunny days i see at least 1 monarch a day in my yard.I saw lots of caterpillars today in my yard.The butterfly weed is not in the best condition but several plants are still flowering and there are still some healthy looking leaves although many leaves are wilted from the previous cold.
