Mama and Olivia are observing seasons in our backyard. Yesterday we planted 35 Darwin tulip bulbs. (Wilbur, the dog, chewed up one of them). When we were digging the holes, we found 4 worms that were about 4 cm long. When they warmed up, they got longer to about 10 cm. We put them in a plastic bug box. We also caught a grasshopper. Mommy said we had to leave them outside in the bug box. It was 25*F when we woke up. Olivia ran out in her nightgown to get the box. The soil is frozen solid. Will the worms be dead or alive?
