We have an extraordinary number of robins in our garden (3/4 acre) this winter. Certainly scores... perhaps 100, 200 or more. It is difficult to count because they are perched high in mature trees and in hedges and bushes where they seek protection. We have never seen this many robins in our yard in the 25 years we have been here. We provide feed, water and natural shelter. But nothing specific to this site accounts for the great increase in robin population this winter.
