Tulips PLANTED

Date: 01/05/2012

Number: 1

Ms. Sires' third grade class, 3C, planted 24 tulips today. It was a sunny 62 degree winter day here in Charleston (with a low of 35). To plant our tulips we used garden tools, sprinkled some bonemeal and then planted them 7 inches deep and 4 inches apart. We used popsicle sticks to mark the place where we planted them. Lastly, we watered them. We also planted 5 experimental bulbs, such as a chunk taken out of one, skinless, without any bonemeal, too much bonemeal, too shallow and upside down. It was really fun and exciting. Hope you like our review.
