Large waves of robins massing in low growing hedges alongside field area with small pond just before dusk. Looked like they were going to roost for the night. As I observed, more and more groups joined in and I quit trying to count them. Conservative estimate would put it between 250 and 500 individuals. I have never seen this many robins in one place!
