Saw wave after wave of robins on Sunday. There had to have been between 1,000-2,000 birds. Some flew quite low, others somewhat higher (100+ feet I would reckon). Amazingly, these birds flew nearly silently through the air. There were few chirps or calls. The robins flew in a NE direction and there was not more than a minute between successive waves. It was remarkable to watch and I have never seen anything like it before. People should look up more often...there are wonderful things to see.
