I have been seeing at least 1 monarch butterfly every sunny day in my yard since my last report. On Jan. 23rd 2012 I saw 3 different monarchs in my yard all with deformed wings. 2 very deformed and 1 one with a wing that was slightly folded at the end. Still seeing monarch caterpillars. lots of milkweed in my yard and some nectar sources. Some chrysalisis that have not opened and look like they are decaying. Other chrysalisis look fine.The other monarchs I have seen on sunny days looked fresh and very healthy and normal.
