Sightings report image

Date: 01/21/2012

Number: 1

We have a fascinating bird "tail": a Northern Cardinal that is exhibits both male and female coloration. that is, if you see it from one side, it appears a normal female. From the other side, it is apparently a normal male. Not until you see it head on do you see that it is both, by looking at the center line down its breast. I will attempt to send you the best picture I have so far, but I havent had good luck.
