Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/27/2012

Number: 1

This is migration South instead of North. Usually we will have only two or three robins in our yard during the winter. Some winters we see none. This year there have been robins by the hundreds. On 01/27/12 we observed a large flock of robins, thousands, flying due South. We had observed the same thing twice earlier and thought they were robins by the way they flew but were not sure because it was cloudy and we could not distinguish colors on the birds. On the 27th it was sunny and the bright red breasts could be clearly seen. All three sightings were late in the afternoon. However, since this last sighting we have not seen nor heard a robin in our yard.
