Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/10/2012

Number: 1

50+ Winter Robins hanging out at a llama farm down the road 1mile from me, see them often. We had 2-1/2+ feet of snow in 24 hours, the week before Halloween. In my 61 years of lifetime we may have had trace to 5 inches of snow maybe 6 times, around Halloween. In the middle of winter we have had 2+feet of snow in one snowstorm maybe 8 times. We have not had snow (just trace to 3 inches) since Halloween. I have just a few 1-inch thick patches of snow, most of the ground is bare, and temperatures have been 30 to 40 degrees above normal. We have been prone to -20*F to -30*F through January & February, prior to the turn of the century. Since the late 1990's Global Warming is clearly evident here. We have a lot of birds that don't migrate South any more.
