Hello fellow birders:As you can see by the earlier pictures, spring has not even remotely sprung here.I have some bush salvia that was hanging on,but I'm not sure it will make it through this snow. There have been a lot of juncos, downys, cardinals, nuthatches and sparrows. The usual suspects. There was an Oregon junco at the feeder last week. Also heard a robin twittering up in a tree.Have been doing a lot of reading about different types of feeders and what birds do and don't like as far as shelters and houses.Am planning to put in a larger water feather and more native grasses.Once you start building a habitat,it never seems to be finished.I endeavor to improve mine every year, although sometimes I feel I haven't the slightest idea of what I'm doing!Maybe it's the nature of the project, birds are just fickle. Good birding and gardening.
