Found a young earthworm on the underside of some leaf litter I'd been cleaning off our brick patio. I placed the worm in the garden bed before discarding the leaf. Now I know to keep my eyes peeled for these soil-enriching creatures when I'm outside working, especially on warmer days (we reached 68º that afternoon).
