There were very few hummers sighted on my property last year, but already this winter I saw one last week. I was at the window of my home office and glanced over to the side yard and spotted the hummer in my blue salvia plant. There was no time to grab my camera and get a picture, because the sighting was quick. I guess there wasn't yet enough blossoms to entice the bird.
