My wife and I, and our new little companion, Tucker, were visiting a friend in Spring, who also has several small dogs.
After a wonderful visit for us two legged creatures, and the dogs playing nicely and getting to know one another for about an hour, we were loading Tucker into the kennel in our van, when I noticed a Monarch flying about a shrub in their neighbor's yard. I went over to get a closer look and it was a strong male who alit on the bricks on the side of the house. Unfortunately, I didn't think to get my iPhone and snap a picture, but we were surprised to yet another Monarch in Jan.
Our friends, Perry and Tammie Jones, though have sighted several over in Jersey Village and we're hoping descendents of those we raised and released last Spring and Summer will return to our now blossoming milkweed here in Conroe! Funny winter.
God Bless America and protect all your creatures!
