For the first time since December I had a Monarch Butterfly darting around my yard today. I also found a Monarch caterpillar crossing my driveway to who knows where (long way off from the milkweed). Did have 3 caterpillars in yard last weekend when we had a coldsnap. Only one, very large, survived and has now disappeared, hopefully to have mae a chrysallis somewhere. I do have a lot of flowering milkweed that doesn't seem to have been affected by the 2 days of 30 degree weather. (Cold by Florida standards!)
