Sky is overcast and threatening rain..temp. +4C. Six swans just flew up from the edge of the pond. as soon as i drilled into the tree by the road (my medicine tree) the sap began to flow. there is almost no snow in the bush this year. it has been a very strange winter with almost no snow to speak of. we are thinking it may be a short season. we had a heavy seed crop last fall. we will tap the rest of our trees on saturday and the school trees tomorrow.
