This morning at 7:30 I was surprised to hear a robin's territorial song, loud and clear. It took a few moments to locate him, but I finally saw the singer, perched on a high branch of an oak tree and singing his heart out to stake his territory. I heard a robin singing two weeks ago but did not see him. Today I no longer doubt my sanity at hearing the song so early. He's really back!
