Staff at the Virginia Living Museum report that the first Journey North tulips planted in the museum's Children's Learning Garden by Jim Drummond's Fox Patrol of Grade 2/3 students emerged today. Another class is waiting patiently for it's tulips to emerge this week.
The Children’s Learning Garden began with Journey North tulips planted in Fall 1998.
The winter has been mild, with hard freeze waiting until January before appearing & the first snows [light accumulations] in February.
