First fresh monarch of Spring! This female just eclosed from a monarch who layed eggs the first week of January after we had temperatures that reached the 80's. Despite monarchs in my yard all winter this year the last time we had egg-laying previously was the first week of November. Right now I have another 38 chrysalides inside and 50+ larvae outside.
