Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 02/22/2012

Number: 1

Have released five Monarchs over the past five days. Three males; two females. Have nine more to hatch. The weather is temperate and sunny. I have nectar flowers blooming, water and milkweed. A mild winter in the Houston area so still have milkweed available and have observed other plants in common areas. I never saw the Monarchs who left their eggs in my garden, but it has produced a bumper crop of healthy offspring.
