Up until around Feb 1st, I saw at least 2 dozen catepillars of differing ages. They demolished the mildweed, leaving several smaller catepillars with nothing to eat. Then we had some cold weather, the catepillars "disappeared", but we continued to see adults of different sizes, and now as it has warmed up there are very active populations; once again, I can see around 15-20 at a nectoring site.
