While driving south on S.R. 39 out of La Porte, Indiana my husband and I entered the Kingsbury Fish and Game Reserve. In the fields on the side of the road were thousands of Sand Hill Cranes. I don't ever recall seeing them this early in the spring. Is this the normal time they migrate back north? I usually see them much later in the spring.
